Aztec Safety Culture

Everyone will go home safely, every day.

To do this, "everyone has the correct ATTITUDE every day".

Aztec are fully committed to ensuring the safety of our people. Having worked closely with corporate organisations for close to 20 years, Aztec has developed a comprehensive Health & Safety management system, which required little change to satisfy the new 2016 Health & Safety Act.

Regular audits are carried out along with Driver in-cab assessments, truck audits, and contractor H&S system audits

Aztec has a strict drug testing policy with checks carried out pre-employment, randomly, post incident and whenever there is probable cause.

All contractors are provided with a Aztec Health & Safety manual.

Aztec has a list of “Critical Rules” that all Drivers and Contractors must agree and adhere to.

Drivers and Contractors attend regular Health & Safety meetings through the year.

Health & Safety duties are shared across the H&S Co-ordinator,  management, and contracted specialists.

Training and qualification requirements are tracked by the H&S co-ordinator.

Induction:

All drivers and contractors are inducted prior to commencing work for Aztec. This is very in depth and covers all aspects of Aztec and its clients' H&S and Operational requirements.

Log Transport Safety Council:

All Aztec contractors are required to be financial members of the LTSC.
